America’s Attik, Inc. Frequently Asked Questions 1. What is America’s Attik? 2. Where did you get the idea for America’s Attik? Although we have always enjoyed working behind the scenes to raise money for children’s charities, we reached a point in our lives that our priorities changed. Rather than support corporate America, we wanted to work full-time on those things that tug on our hearts. America’s Attik came out of IBI Global. Through brainstorming and networking with the industry experts such as visionaries, accountants, attorneys, and business analysts, we were able to solidify a business model that was sound for today’s economy. 3. What charities have you recently work with? We are currently working with Camp Esperanza and Bea’s Kids. We have also worked with Make-A-Wish, City House of Plano, Journey of Hope, ALS, Salvation Army, West Dallas Community Center, and the Mexican dump kids, the barrio in Plano, TX and Ronald McDonald House. Since we began talking openly about America’s Attik and looking for a new location, we have a list of childrens’ charities that have asked for support. 4. What benefits do you offer donors? We have several different donor programs, each with their own benefits. They are..... 5. Other than tax benefits, why would a manufacturer want to donate to America’s Attik? America’s Attik provides a big plus for business. We offer a consistent channel of distribution for product disposition. Regardless of quantity, warehouse congestion can be alleviated utilizing America’s Attik. The two of you also have a business named AlleeOops that incorporates motivational speaking and professional clowning. How does that tie in with America’s Attik? Juggles and Pokey-Dot are clowns that donate their time and talents to charitable events. We do not charge for our time as clowns. We do accept donations to America’s Attik. There are simple basics that every child should have. They should have shoes and it is also important for them to have toys. These don’t have to be the most expensive items, but they should be new...not hand-me-downs. I grew up on hand-me-downs and they are great. But I remember the things I got that were new. They were truly mine. I also believe that every individual should be taught that joy is a choice, regardless of circumstance. We incorporate a program for kids to teach them they can see a glass as half empty or half full. The choice is theirs. I also teach them to keep a joy list. A joy list is a running total of all the things one is thankful for or that make you happy. For instance, a list might include family and friends, puppy kisses, swinging in the park as high as you can, flowers that smell good, being tickled, a favorite food, a hug, etc. If we keep a list of these things, our list gets continues to grow. When our spirits get down and out, we can refer to our joy list to remind ourselves just how happy we have been and remember all the happy times. This works for adults as well. 7. I know you are involved with a number of fundraising efforts right now. Can you describe some of these? Sure. To be gain with, we are expanding from our current facility. We are busting out at the seams. A warehouse with a storefront would be ideal. Another fundraiser for us is a book we are about to release titled DECISION DANCE. It’s a compilation of stories from individuals who have had to live with the consequences of unfortunate choices. Most of the individuals have been able to turn their lives around. My brother murdered before he was able to do that. This book deals with the choices that led to tough consequences and the sacrifice it took to correct bad choices. Proceeds from the book will support America’s Attik. Some of those contributing chapters include David A Stanley, Elvis Presley’s step brother and bodyguard Roger Anthony of Crocodiles Not Waterlilies etc. 8.
