Ron Silvis and Janelle Twyford-Silvis

America’s Attik is a 501(c)3, non-profit, supporting children with cancer and children that are economically challenged.  America’s Attik was founded by Ron Silvis and Janelle Twyford-Silvis in 2003, although the ‘attic’ actually began more than 15 years ago to serve those children often overlooked.   America's Attik is rich  with experience and relationships suited for this unique venture. They offer a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of successful fundraising in tough times using experience and creativity.

Ron Silvis, serving as Board Chair for America’s Attik, has more than 30 years supply chain management expertise to include major manufacturers such as Mattel Toys, Leap Frog and PUMA and  E-Commerce Management of such sites as NBC.com, ESPN.com and many, many others.   Ron, aka Juggles, finds strength from a firm foundation in  common sense and a positive approach to life. Thirty years within the executive  management arena is the basis on which he has succeeded as a business leader  and mentor for his peers. During his journey, he discovered the important role that  faith and humor must play in tackling each new day - the trials, opportunities and  welfare of his associates. Ron uses humor to level the playing field. The executive  management field can be brutal and Ron has operated effectively to develop alliances with many of the key players. When necessary, he has gone head-to-head with decision makers to resolve economic, political and sometimes competitive situations. However, through it all, he knows it is attitude that differentiates the winners - a POSITIVE attitude. Ron is a graduate of the City of Plano Citizens Academy and Plano Citizens Police Academy.

Janelle Twyford-Silvis, aka Pokey-Dot, serves as President of America’s Attik.  With more than 25 years experience in business development, Janelle has launched a number of new products, technologies and divisions within leading Fortune 500 companies to open new markets, expand market share and address cost avoidance. From concept through business planning to implementation, her experience benefits large companies and start-ups alike. A speaker and trainer, she motivates teams to work together by helping to discover and celebrate the differences that each member contributes towards a common a goal. President of AlleeOops Photography, she donates much of her time photographing special events and raising funds for the kids.

Janelle is a graduate of Leadership Plano. Both Ron and Janelle are very active in the Plano Chamber of Commerce - Janelle as an Ambassador and on the Women's Division Board of Directors.  She serves the City of Plano of the Library Advisory Board. Janelle and Ron actively support the community as professional clowns.  Janelle is a graduate of the City of Plano Citizens Academy.
